David's Cozy Crazy Little Champagne & Ice-Cream Hostel' is a cozy little , romantic, quiet and very personal privately owned Hostel for Backpackers , with 2 dozen beds only.

It's charming atmosphere has a touch of an artist’s private home, that welcomes individual backpackers to stay there, especially students, world-travellers, artists, and explorers of culture, history or night-life.

It is free of noisy groups, since we only take singles, couples and groups up to 4 people only.

Smoking is only outside in the street-gardenpermitted, inside smoking is completely banned.

We have vegetarian simple breakfast, which can be individually be upgraded.

If David is present and in a good mood he serves Champagne, salmon or Ice-Cream for breakfast !!!!

This hostel is mainly designed for single travellers, who like to meet other people on their trip, and which do not regard themthelves as a part of the main-stream masses, which haven't much else in mind than drinking beer and smoking dope all day.

Gays and Lesbians are especially welcome, as well as students of drama, music, arts or languages and vegetarians.

Beside 1 Girls dorm, 1 Boys dorm and a mixed dorm we have a Triple and a Double only.

Beside that, we have a cozy common-room with original arm-chairs from the 30ies, other are from the 70ies, all unique pieces from David's family.

A Berlin-library is waiting for you , with many informations about sites, histories and 4 bi-weekly programm-magazines : Tip, Zitty, and the gay Siegessäule and Sergei. We have as well internet, a pay-phone, a shop with drinks, a book-swap, and plants, fishes and birds, and a kitchen, which can be used by everyone.

Most of the time, some guests join meals or go out together.

And we have a CD player, where you can play your own music.

Most of our guests are from Australia, Italy, Japan, Germany and Scandinavia ( Denmark, Sweden, Norway)ollowed by Canada, the US, Mexico, Ireland, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan, India, Egypt and Indonesia.

Beside English and German David speaks as well French, Egyptian Arabic and Indonesian-Malay.

It is only 5 Minutes from the Central train station (Zoologischer Garten), by underground and walking.

It is in a very central but quiet, multicultural residential area, Mitte -Tiergarten - Moabit, between 3 universities (TU, TFH and Humboldt).

We have always students staying with us for longer, who look for their own apartment in Berlin, specially art-students and people who study the german language, or arts, who end up staying with us for good.

It's charming atmosphere with many plants and paintings, has a touch of an artist's private home, that welcomes individual backpackers, students, world-travellers, artists, and explorers of culture, history or night-life to stay there, some for weeks or monthes. It is free of noisy groups, since we accept only singles and couples and small groups of 3 or 4 persons only. Smoking is only outside in the garden permitted, but inside is completely smoke-free fresh air. We have a simple vegetarian breakfast i n c l u d e d , which can be individually be upgraded. Bed-linen are i n c l u d e d of course, unlike other hostels, and so are the showers,. And the use of a perfect K i t c h e n is i n c l u d e d , with a microwave and 3 refrigerators, which can be used by everyone.
